Connect WitchPrompt to Claude

For claude.ai, Claude Desktop, and the Claude mobile apps. Add it once on the web or desktop and it works everywhere you use Claude.

What you need

  1. 1A WitchPrompt accountWith WitchPrompt Pro.
  2. 2ClaudeAny Claude plan. Free accounts can add one custom connector; on Team and Enterprise an Owner adds it first.

Claude only reaches your prompts once you sign in.

Steps

    Open Customize → Connectors in Claude.

    Click Add custom connector.

  3. 3

    Name it WitchPrompt.

    Paste the WitchPrompt MCP URL.

    Click Add, then Connect.

    Sign in to WitchPrompt in the window that opens and click Authorize.

  7. 7

    Start a new chat and ask "Which WitchPrompt account am I connected to?".

  8. 8

    Then try "List my prompts" or "Run my welcome-email prompt".

Claude Team / Enterprise

Members can’t add custom connectors themselves. An Owner adds WitchPrompt once under Organization settings → Connectors → Add → Custom, with the MCP URL. Each member then finds it under Customize → Connectors (labelled Custom) and clicks Connect.

Claude Code

Run claude mcp add --transport http witchprompt https://api.witchprompt.com/mcp, then run /mcp inside Claude Code and choose WitchPrompt to sign in. The browser returns to a local page you can close once it says authorization is complete.

After you connect

  • Turn WitchPrompt on or off per chat from the + menu → Connectors.
  • Claude runs read-only tools directly and asks before tools that overwrite or delete prompts and presets.
  • To stop Claude's access, remove WitchPrompt in Claude, or revoke it underYour connections.

Troubleshooting

SymptomFix
Tools look outdated (use_prompt missing) or calls fail with 401Claude saves the tool list and sign-in when you connect. Disconnect WitchPrompt in Claude, then connect it again.
No Add custom connector buttonOn Team / Enterprise only an Owner can add it (see above). On Free, you may already have used your one custom connector.
Authorize stays disabledThe connector needs an account with WitchPrompt Pro. The WitchPrompt screen lists what is missing.
prompt_not_foundUse a slug from "List my prompts".
Can't see someone else's private promptsExpected. A connection only reaches your own prompts, plus other people's public prompts.
